Breaking news: An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 hits Manipur today at 1:54 on 28th May 2025. The origin of the Earthquake was reported 1 kilometre away from the Moirang region, Manipur, which is located in the Bishnupur district. It has been reported that it also affected neighbouring countries, such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, and other regions of India.

It was an early morning when people of the affected region reported that their houses were shaking, and people woke up from sleep after the quake hit. It has also been reported that there were no major damages to public properties like houses, buildings, etc However, the tremor was felt by the people.

From the ground reports, it has been reported that animals like dogs, hens, and other also produces sounds after the incident occurred.

It has also been reported from the VolcanoDiscovery website that there occured an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude occurred near the Churchandpur district of Manipur at around 1.24 am on Wednesday, 28th of May 2025, at a depth of 66 km. The epicentre was identified at 24.35 N /93.73 E
