What is the PM Kisan scheme?
The PM Kisan is a scheme that was launched in the year 2019, on 24 February, by India’s Current PM Narendra Modi. The scheme has been providing funds to eligible farmers a sum of Rs 2000 for every 4 months, i.e Rs 6000 yearly, since 2019. This year it is the 19th instalment and a sum of Rs 22,000 crore is going to be released to the more than 9.8 crore farmers’ bank accounts across India today, i.e 24th February. Farmers can now also check the beneficiary eligibility status of this fund released on the official website of PM Kisan by using the registration number and security code(one-time password and Captcha).
If a farmer sees the eligibility status for eKYC, then he or she must do it via biometric or face authentication app or otp based.
When will the PM Kisan 19th instalment be credited?

How to eKYC?
To get the PM Kisan 19th instalment, eligible farmers need to link their phone numbers on the PM Kisan portal via the common service centre or other IT support services nearby. The steps to eKYC are of three ways. The first one is OTP based, the second is face recognition, and the third is with biometric devices.
For the OTP method,
- The first step is to link the phone number. You need to visit the official website of PM Kisan, select the farmer link, and then click again on update mobile number.
- After this, a new portal will be opened. Here, fill farmer registration number or Aadhar UID number. In the final step, enter your mobile number and click on the submit button for verification.
- This is how Indian farmers who are eligible can get the instalment credited to their bank account.
