Are NEET UG exam 2025 results out?

Yes, the National Testing Agency has announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG exam conducted on the 4th of May 2025. Candidates who have appeared for this exam may now download the scorecard from the website neet.nta.ac.in. It has also been announced that only candidates should also nmee the qualifying cut off should be eligible for the counselling process. For the General, the minimum cut-off marks should be 50%, and for others, it is 40% this year.

What are the cut-off marks?

Candidates who have appeared for the exam have scored marks above the cut-off are eligible to apply for the counselling round. The NTA has also released the cut-off marks for the various categories, and it should be noted to all the candidates that only qualifying marks are required, but also clearing all rounds of the counselling is also needed to get a seat in a Reputed medical institution in India.

The details of the cut-off marks released are as follows

  • For the General or EWS candidate, the qualifying percentile is 50% or more, and its marks range lies between 686-144
  • For the OBC, ST and SC candidates, the cut-off percentile is greater than or equal to 40% and less than 50%. Marks range between 143 – 113
  • And for the UR / EWS and Pwbd candidate, its qualifying percentile is greater than or equal to 45% and less than 50%. Qualifying marks range 143 from 127
  • For the OBC and PwBd, the cutoff marks range between 126-113 and a percentile greater than or equal to 40% and less than 45%. The same criteria are also for the Sc and Pwbd, St and Pwbd.

As compared to the qualifying marks of the previous year NEET exam, there has been seen drop in the cut-off marks this year.

This year, a total of more than 22 lakhs students appeared for the exam, and the total qualified students are 12,36,531. Amongst these qualified candidates, the number of male candidates is 514063 and female candidates are 722462, while 6 are transgender.
