NMC MBBS intake capacity 2026-27 increases by 1300+ seats

In the latest updates, we have the NMC MBBS intake capacity 2026-27 increasing by over 1,300 seats this year. This notification has been released by the National Medical Commission this week. It says that this year it is allowing to admit medical cxourses to more than 1,40,000 students in 836 medical colleges in India.

As per this matrix released in September, this will increase the intake capacity of existing medical colleges. This additional increase of seats occurred as the NEET UG counseling for stray vacancy not ended till now. AS PER A NEWS SOURCE, it stated that this increase in seats occurred due to an increase in teh intake capacity of the private colleges. The private college intake capacity increased to 10400, and that of the government medical college added 2785 seats more.

This MBBS intake capacity 2026-27 increases the total intake from 1,27,039 to 1, 40, 213, which can be said athat thereis 10.41 % increas in the total intake this year.

However, it is also seen that there is no increase in medical seats in Delhi this year, while states like Arunachal, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Meghalaya have increased medical seat intake capacity.

2. On the Information Desk, search for the college by entering the name, state, and course names
3. It will show you the status of the current renewal status, recognition, MBBS intake capacity 2026-27 , and affiliation details for the current Year
