In the sudden incident, three men who were missing were also been rescued while in another incident one man could not be saved but found a body nearby a Beach debris trap. The men who were rescued were the official staff who came for inspection on the site and that included two engineers and one Project manager.

These very strong waves caused issues in all nearby regions like the Watsonville incidents and Marina State beach incidents, After this collapse the wharf was closed and will be opened until further notification.. Another reason in terms of civil engineering, why there was a failure in the Pier to make it collapse was a design and construction materials used that cannot handle the Huge storm wave.

Soon after this strong storm wave, authorities warn alert to avoid staying near beaches or low-lying regions near it. Mr Keely also requested people to not to get close to the Ocean beach and also gave high alert to boaters and swimmers.
