Several districts in Selangor flooded and victims evacuated

Breaking news : On the latest Weather report news, Several districts in the Selangor Malaysia has been hit by flash floods due to heart unstoppable rainfall occured today. It has been stated on the news media that the rainfall started from the early morning 2.30 am today and it has not been stopping and thus occured the floods. Due to this floods it has been reported that 8 people also lost their lives and many other people are also missing. The rescue operation are still in process.

On hearing this news, the Fire and rescue services started, along with it also keep several alert systems to the public. As reported by the JBPM Selangor fire department Assistant director of operations A Mukhlis Mukhtar, the most affected places are Petaling, Kampung, Tengah, and Puchong.

Due to continuous rainfall since morning today, the flood water level was seen rising up to 0.61 metres in petaling. The rescue team also put their best effort into helping and assisting the victims in settling in the Relief camp center ( PPS) at the Putra Heights Mosque.

If we talk about the total number of victims affected by these floods, it is approximately 70 houses and 140 victims, including Kampung Seri Aman, Puchong, 30 houses and one hundred twenty victims. In Shah Alam, Pandang Jawa, 20 houses were seen damaged by the floods, and they were evacuated to the relief camp.

The news of the evacuation of the flood-affected victims is still in process. It has been continuously reporting that in the Klang district, Taman Sri Jaya has also been affected along with the Kampung Sungai Merab luar, etc.

In Kajang, it was seen that the water level rose up to 1.2 metres at around 3.30 am on 11th April 2025, and the team from Denkil Fire Station was also been kept on the spot. The whole related department is now monitoring new flood-prone areas in the District, also.

It has also been reported that the floods affected Pekan Meru, Taman Mutiara, Taman Sri Muda, and Taman Daya in Bukit Payung. While in Sepang, the flood-affected Areas, as stated in other news media reports, included Kampung Abu Bakar Baginda, Desa Vila Merab, and Sungai Merab. Moreover, some area in Hulu Langat was also affected, and it included Laman Ghal and Batu.
