Editor’s Note: I have also tasted this Sirakhong chilli at home; I bought it from the Pishum Thong Market, Imphal West, 795001. The cost of 1 small packet is 50 Rs. After I add this to my curry, it makes the color of the curry more red and not spicy like that of the king chilli. When I asked one of the sellers about this chilli in the market, he told me that it is mainly used for food coloring.
